Experiencing Life Differently, the Beach(part 3)

This is our final visit from the beach post so I will share a few of the crafts we did.

Sand art is fun and a great sensory experience. This was just a simple ocean picture using sand for the beach and foam fish stickers.

Sorry I do not have step by step pictures of how we did this one.
We started with a lunch size paper bag. Fill it with newspaper or paper towels and then put tape around the end. Using paints or markers color the bag. After it dries add eyes and a mouth. Also cut a long oval out and glue to the bottom for the fin. Cut a slit in the top of the bag then tuck a coffee filter in.
Junior received this little ocean in a bottle from one of his angels(be sure to stop by their website to learn about this wonderful group). It is a small plastic bottle with a little sand in the bottom. A shell, little umbrella, and even a little sea weed shaped piece were added. Angel Susan added a note to the bottle and then corked the top. Junior loved getting this and thought the note needed to go back in the bottle after he read it.
This ocean craft we actually did just recently but since it fits with the theme I thought I would share it.
We started with a giant piece of brown construction paper and 3 smaller pieces of blue construction paper. On one side of each blue piece we cut slits and then curled up the ends around a pencil(for the waves).
Leave enough brown showing so you have your beach and then glue the first piece of blue paper down. Make sure the curled edge is towards the front, then layer the other two pieces of blue paper. Paint glue onto the brown portion at the front and then sprinkle on sand for your beach. Add lots of fish and other ocean creatures and you have your ocean. (I cut the slits and curled the paper ahead of time)
Grab your beach chair some water, sand, and, fish, kick back and enjoy a visit from the ocean(we put a blue mat behind Junior so he didn't feel like he was in the house).
