This sensory space uses a wood frame and has lots of space for hanging things inside.
Here is Lisa's description of their sensory room.My brother made up the little room for us out of ply wood - it has windows on each side so we can look through and talk to him and on the top it has dowel so things can easily be tied to hang down. We recently put a black fabric over the top to make it more of a sensory experience as it is now very dark and it's a lot easier to see anything that is lit up in there.
He has speakers that light up and also a glitter lamp in there as well as Christmas lights that we have strung around and star lights that hang down and change colours. We don't use them all at once, but usually just one so to not over load him with different sensory experiences at once.
